When designing a website, you need to make sure that you do not take images from the internet, as they are all protected by copywriters, taking your own photo's and editing them to suit your website is the best way these days, that way you can not be done for taking images that do not belong to you.
You should consider the following when you have photo's on your website:

The images are your own.

Take photo's that are eye catching for your visitors.

Use Photo's that are easy on the eye, and do not make the user feel uncomfortable.

If using images from the internet, make sure you buy them from a propper image copywriter.

Blend the images into your site so that they do not clash with other information.

Search Engines
Search Engines are becoming more advanced each day, they have managed to make sure that any text that is duplicated anywhere on the internet is Black Listed, it wont be long before it happens with images, meaning taking images from the internet wont be as easy anymore either. Make sure that your designers and copywriters know about this so that they do not get your website Black Listed before its even started.
